Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 tea glass of milk

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons of oil

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • Half teaspoon vanillin (optional)

Directions

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl and mix.
  • Whisk the milk, egg and oil in a separate bowl.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk the mixture until smooth. Add the vanillin.
  • Preheat and lightly grease the waffle maker.
  • Place small portions of the mixture into the waffle maker and start cooking.
  • Cook the waffles until golden.
  • Serve with honey, jam, fruit or yoghurt.
