Prep time

Cooking time

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1.5 cups of milk

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 tsp vanillin extract

  • Blueberries (optional)

  • Raspberries and fresh mint leaves (for serving)

  • Mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Beat the eggs in another bowl. Add the milk, orange juice, melted butter and vanillin extract in turn and mix.
  • Add the contents to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl and mix until you get a smooth consistency.
  • Preheat the waffle maker. Pour the batter according to the measurements and cook according to the instructions of the waffle maker.
  • Cook the waffles until they turn golden. Cooking time may vary depending on the waffle maker and the amount of dough.
  • Place the cooked waffles on a hot serving plate. Sprinkle with fresh blueberries and garnish with raspberries.
  • Optionally, serve with fresh mint leaves.

  • If possible, choose fresh blueberries to add to your waffle. Fresh blueberries offer a more pronounced flavour and freshness. However, if you cannot find fresh blueberries, you can also use frozen ones.
  • When preparing the waffle batter, take care not to overmix the batter during the mixing process. The slightly lumpy dough makes the waffle more fluffy and light.
  • Heat the waffle maker well before use and check the temperature during cooking. The heated machine ensures that the waffle is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
  • Use oil or spray lubricant to keep the waffle maker from sticking. This ensures that the waffle cooks evenly and can be easily removed from the machine.
  • When serving your Blueberry Waffle, add fresh fruit, especially blueberries, and mint leaves to create a visual feast. This note not only enhances the flavour, but also makes your waffle more attractive.
  • Bon Appetite!
