Butter Pecan Pound Cake Recipe

  • 200 grams butter (at room temperature)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 packet of baking powder

  • ½ cup of milk

  • 1 cup of coarsely pounded walnuts

  • 1 packet of vanillin sugar

  • Half lemon juice

  • A pinch of salt


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the cake tin and dust with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the room temperature butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one by one and mix.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt and mix.
  • Slowly add the milk and mix until you get a homogenous consistency.
  • Add lemon juice and vanillin sugar and mix again.
  • Add the pounded walnuts and mix with a spatula.
  • Pour the prepared cake mixture into the mould and bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes.
  • Check whether the cake is cooked by doing a toothpick test. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is cooked.
  • After the cake comes out of the oven, let it warm at room temperature.
  • Before serving, slice it and place it on a serving plate.
