Ingredients

  • Half a kilogram of chicken breast, boiled and shredded

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed

  • 1 cup of yoghurt

  • Half a glass of oil

  • 3 eggs (the yolk of one of them will be reserved for the top)

  • Half a glass of milk

  • 1 packet of baking powder

  • 1 tsp vinegar

  • Salt, black pepper, chilli flakes (optional)

  • Half a bunch of fresh parsley, chopped

  • Half a kg of phyllo dough

Directions

  • Boil the chicken breast and shred it. Melt the butter or oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and fry until they turn pink. Add the garlic and stir until it starts to smell.
  • Add boiled chicken and mix. Add salt, black pepper and optional chilli flakes. Cook over low heat until the chicken absorbs the water. After it cools down, add chopped parsley on it.
  • Whisk yoghurt, oil, egg, milk, milk, vinegar and baking powder in a bowl. Gradually add the chicken mixture and mix.
  • Roll out the phyllo pastry and spread the chicken mixture on each one and place them on top of each other. Place these phyllo layers on a square or rectangular tray. Spread the reserved egg yolk on the top layer.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until golden brown.
  • Slice the hot pastry out of the oven and serve hot.
