  • 250 grams of veal cubed meat

  • 1 cup boiled red kidney beans (you can also use canned)

  • 1 cup corn kernels (frozen or canned)

  • 1 large onion (chopped)

  • 2 medium carrots (grated)

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes (diced)

  • 3 cloves of garlic (crushed)

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1 teaspoon of red chilli

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • Salt (according to your taste)

  • 8 cups of broth or water

  • Fresh coriander or parsley (for serving)


  • Melt the butter in a pot. Add chopped onion and garlic and fry until it turns pink.
  • Add the diced meat and sauté until it turns brown.
  • Add grated carrots and diced potatoes, sauté for a few minutes while stirring.
  • Add tomato paste, red pepper, cumin and black pepper and mix.
  • Add flour and roast over low heat until it smells.
  • Add boiled kidney beans and corn kernels.
  • Add the broth or water and mix. Add salt and bring to boil.
  • After boiling, cook over low heat until the meat and vegetables are tender (about 30-40 minutes).
  • Garnish with fresh coriander or parsley before serving and serve hot.
