Ingredients

  • 500 grams of beef (diced)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 large onion (chopped)

  • 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)

  • 2 medium carrots (cut into rings)

  • 2 potatoes (diced)

  • 1 cup canned corn

  • 1 cup canned peas

  • 2 cups tomato juice

  • 1 cup hot water

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp red pepper powder

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a pot and add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn pink.
  • Add the chopped garlic and sauté until it starts to smell.
  • Add the diced beef and sauté until the meat turns brown.
  • Add the carrots and potatoes and sauté for a few minutes.
