Ingredients

  • 500 grams of cubed beef

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 large onion (grated)

  • 3 cloves of garlic (grated)

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 cup of hot water

  • Salt and black pepper (optional, can be adjusted according to taste)

  • Fresh herbs (fresh thyme or rosemary)

  • 1 cup red wine (optional, can be used)

Directions

  • Set the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and fry the cubed beef until brown.
  • Add the grated onion and garlic and sauté.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir.
  • Add the hot water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Add salt, black pepper and optional red wine and stir.
  • Put the prepared mixture into the oven dish.
  • Sprinkle fresh spices on it.
