  • 300 grams of beef mince

  • 1 large onion (grated)

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • Half a glass of oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Half tea glass pomegranate syrup

  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • Spring onion and parsley (optional, for decoration)


  • Roast the grated onion with oil in a pan until it turns pink.
  • Add the ground beef on the roasted onion and roast it by stirring until the ground beef releases its water and absorbs.
  • Add tomato paste to the roasted mince and cook over low heat while stirring.
  • Add salt, pomegranate molasses, red pepper flakes and black pepper and mix. Cook until all the ingredients are well identified.
  • Remove the mixture from the stove and keep it aside to cool down.
  • After the mixture is warmed, take walnut sized pieces, roll them in the palm of your hand and shape them as firecrackers.
  • Place on a serving plate and garnish with spring onion and parsley.
