  • 12 bell peppers or zucchini

  • 250 grams of minced meat

  • 1 cup rice

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • Half a bunch of parsley, chopped

  • Half a tea glass of olive oil

  • Salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes

  • 2 cups water or broth


  • Wash the bell peppers or zucchini. Cut off the tops, clean the insides and prepare them by hollowing them out.
  • In a large mixing bowl, knead the minced meat, rice, chopped onion, garlic, tomato paste and parsley. Add salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes to the mixture.
  • Stuff the mixture into the peppers or zucchini and cover the tops.
  • Put olive oil in a pot and arrange the stuffed peppers. Add water or broth over them.
  • Cook over medium heat with the lid closed for about 35-40 minutes until the dolmas are cooked.
  • Place the cooked dolmas on a serving plate. You can serve with yogurt on the side.
