Ingredients

  • 500 g grape tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic (optional, finely chopped)

  • Salt and black pepper (optional)

  • Fresh oregano or basil (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  • Wash the grape tomatoes and cut them into two or three pieces, cut the larger ones into quarters.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan. Optionally, add garlic and fry lightly.
  • Add the grape tomatoes and cook over medium heat, without stirring, until they release their own juice and caramelise a little. This may take about 10-12 minutes.
  • When the grape tomatoes are soft, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with fresh oregano or basil, if using.
  • Place the grape tomatoes on a serving plate and drizzle a little more olive oil over the tomatoes and serve.
