Ingredients

  • 8 slices of stale bread

  • 4 slices of ham

  • 4 slices of pineapple (canned or fresh sliced)

  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 glass of milk

  • 1 tea glass grated coconut

  • Half tea glass butter (melted)

  • Half tea glass honey

  • Half a tea glass of crushed walnuts (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper (according to your taste)

Directions

  • Spread the sliced bread on a flat surface.
  • Place a slice of ham, a slice of pineapple and a slice of mozzarella cheese on each slice of bread.
  • Roll the bread slices into a roll and cut each one into two finger-wide slices.
  • Whisk the egg, milk, salt and pepper in a bowl. Dip the rolls in this mixture and coat them well on both sides.
  • Add the melted butter to the pan and fry the rolls on both sides until golden.
  • Heat the honey slightly in the melted butter and drizzle over the fried rolls.
  • Sprinkle with the grated coconut and optionally add the crushed walnuts.
