Ingredients

  • 500 grams of chicken breast, diced

  • 1/4 cup soya sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tsp ginger (freshly grated or powdered)

  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed

  • 2 cups vegetables (e.g. broccoli, carrots, peppers), chopped

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

  • Cut the chicken breast into cubes and place in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare a teriyaki sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, white pepper, ginger and crushed garlic.
  • Mix the chicken with the teriyaki sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan. Add the chicken and cook until the chicken turns brown.
  • Add the chopped vegetables and cook, stirring, until the vegetables are soft.
  • Place on a serving plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with rice or bulgur.
