Prep time

Cooking time

  • 500 grams salmon fillet (skin removed and cut into cubes)

  • Half a glass of breadcrumbs or bread crumbs

  • Half a glass of grated parmesan cheese

  • Half a tea glass of finely ground almonds

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • Half teaspoon salt

  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper

  • 2 eggs (beaten)

  • Lemon wedges and fresh dill (for serving)

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Pat the salmon cubes dry to remove excess water. This will help the coating to adhere better to the salmon.
  • Mix the breadcrumbs or bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, finely ground almonds, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • Dip the salmon pieces first into the beaten egg and then into the breadcrumb mixture, coating them well on all sides.
  • Place the coated salmon on the tray lined with greaseproof paper.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden. Let rest for a few minutes after removing from the oven.
  • Before serving, you can serve hot or cold by adding fresh dill and lemon slices.

  • Use Quality Ingredients: The quality of the ingredients greatly affects the resulting flavour. If possible, take care to use fresh and high quality salmon.
  • Dry the Salmon Well: After cleaning your salmon, dry the excess water thoroughly. This helps the coatings adhere better to the salmon and contributes to a crispy outer surface.
  • Mix the Coating Thoroughly: Mix the breadcrumb mixture thoroughly so that each piece of salmon is evenly coated. This will help you get an even flavour in every bite.
  • Pay Attention to Oven Temperature: Preheat your oven according to the recipe. This ensures that the salmon bites cook evenly and get a nice crunch.
  • Check the Cooking Time: Carefully monitor the cooking time as the salmon cubes will cook quickly. Overcooking can cause the salmon to dry out.
  • Cover the baking tray with greaseproof paper: Using greaseproof paper when placing the salmon on the baking tray will prevent sticking and facilitate the cleaning process.
  • Serve with Fresh Lemon and Dill: Adding fresh lemon and fresh dill to the recipe complements the flavour of salmon bites. Lemon adds freshness and dill provides a fresh aroma.
  • Pay Attention to Resting Time: Let the salmon rest for a few minutes after removing from the oven. This will help the juices inside to dissipate and the flavour to settle well.
  • By paying attention to these tricks, you can ensure that your salmon bites recipe is successful in its most delicious form. Bon appetit!
