Ingredients

  • Salmon Marinade:

  • 2 salmon fillets

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 clove of garlic (grated)

  • Fresh ginger (optional, grated)

  • Sushi filling:

  • 2 cups sushi rice

  • 2.5 cups of water

  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Flat nori leaves

  • Avocado slices

  • Cucumber strips

  • Sesame

Directions

  • Wash the sushi rice thoroughly and after draining, add water, rice vinegar, granulated sugar and salt and mix. Cook in a rice cooker and leave to cool.
  • Cut the salmon fillets with the skin into thin strips.
  • For the salmon marinade, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, grated garlic and freshly grated ginger. Coat the salmon strips with this mixture and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Place the nori leaves on a flat surface and spread the cooled sushi rice on it.
  • Place avocado slices, cucumber strips and marinated salmon strips on top of the rice.
  • Roll up and slice with a sharp knife.
  • Place the sliced sushi rolls on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on them and bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 10-15 minutes.
