  • 200 grams butter (at room temp)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup of vegetable oil

  • 1 packet of vanillin sugar

  • Half a packet of baking powder

  • 1/2 cup starch

  • As much flour as it takes (depending on the size of the egg)

  • 1 cup of pounded walnuts

  • ½ cup raisins (optional)


  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Put the butter and icing sugar into a mixing bowl and whisk well with a mixer.
  • Add the egg and continue beating.
  • Add vegetable oil, vanillin, sugar, baking powder and mix.
  • Slowly add the flour and make a soft dough.
  • Pick walnut sized pieces from the dough and roll them in the palm of your hand.
  • Add pounded walnuts and optional raisins and shape them.
  • Place the cookies on the baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned (about 15-20 minutes).
  • Sprinkle the icing sugar over the hot cookies coming out of the oven.
