Ingredients

  • For Cookie Base:

  • 200 grams of unsalted crackers or biscuits

  • 100 grams butter (melted)

  • For Cream

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 4 tbsp corn starch

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 packet of vanillin

  • For Topping

  • Fresh strawberries

  • Chocolate drops or chocolate sauce

Directions

  • For the cookie base, grind the crackers or biscuits into flour. Mix well with the melted butter. Spread the mixture into the tart mould and press down to smooth it out. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • For the cream, heat the milk in a saucepan without boiling. Whisk the egg yolks, sugar and corn starch in a separate bowl. Slowly add the heated milk into the mixture and stir constantly.
  • Put the mixture back into the pot and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. Add the vanillin and remove from the stove. Leave it to cool.
  • Spread the cooled cream evenly over the shortbread base.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and add sliced strawberries.
