Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh strawberries (washed, de-stemmed and chopped)

  • 1 kg fresh strawberries (washed, de-stemmed and chopped)

  • 5 cups of granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions

  • Wash the strawberries, remove the stems and cut into small pieces.
  • Add the chopped strawberries and fresh lemon juice to a saucepan. Start heating the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the strawberries release their juice and soften.
  • When the strawberries are soft, add the Sure Jell and stir to distribute it well.
  • Add all the sugar and cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture starts to boil.
