  • 2.5 cups flour

  • 2.5 tea glass granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs (at room temperature)

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 glass of milk

  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp vanillin extract or vanillin sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • For the top

  • Powdered sugar (optional)

  • Fresh fruits (optional)


  • Set the oven to 180°C (preheated). Grease your cake tin or line it with greaseproof paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Then add the milk, oil and vanillin extract and mix well.
  • Slowly add the second mixture to the flour mixture and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon. You can whisk the mixture until it becomes smooth.
  • Pour the prepared cake batter into the greased or lined mould.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick or knife inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Cooking time usually varies between 25-30 minutes.
  • After removing the cake from the oven, let it cool slightly at room temperature. Then you can take it out of the mould, sprinkle powdered sugar on it and slice it.


  • As a serving suggestion, you can use sliced strawberries, blackberries or raspberries.
